"Smoky black fruits, black olive, iron, and peppery herbs, as well as some chocolate notes, all emerge from the 2020 Syrah Tierra Alta Vineyard, a meaty, gamey, almost bloody style of Syrah with a full-bodied, expansive mouthfeel, gorgeous tannins, and a deep, layered, incredible mid-palate. The gamey, exotic, meaty style here might be a love it or hate it type of deal, but count me in the “love it” camp. Based on 100% Syrah that was 83% destemmed and aged 22 months all in used barrels, it's going to drink brilliantly over the coming decade." - Jeb Dunnuck

“The 2020 Syrah Kimsey Vineyard has classic Syrah darker, peppery fruits as well as some chocolate, nutty, meaty background nuances. These all carry to a pure, medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced Syrah with ripe, polished tannins and a great finish. "From sandy soils in the middle of the Sta. Rita Hills, the 2020 Syrah Spear Vineyard shines for its purity and finesse. Ripe red and black fruits, flowers, spice, and dried herbs all make an appearance in the bouquet, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture, and a great finish. The balance here is spot on, it has beautifully integrated tannins, acidity, and alcohol, and is another pure, seamless, incredibly impressive Syrah from this estate." - Jeb Dunnuck

Our 50/50 blend comprised from our very best barrel of Syrah and very best barrel of Petite Sirah from our estate vineyard, Fox Family Vineyard.  With only one barrel of each varietal, we are only able to make 49 cases of this amazing wine for our members to enjoy.  Cheers!
